Waiver and Release Agreement [Adult]

I, the undersigned, am over the age of 18 and a Participant in the Scripps Ranch Old Pros, Inc. (“SROP”) Run & Ride event on July 4, 2025 (“Activity”). I understand the Activity involves running, jogging, walking and/or riding a bicycle and can be HAZARDOUS AND INVOLVE THE RISK OF PHYSICAL INJURY AND/OR DEATH.  I am physically fit and sufficiently trained to participate in the Activity. I am familiar with and will stay on all designated/marked trails and paths. I understand the dangers and risks of the Activity and ASSUME ALL INHERENT DANGERS AND RISKS involved therein.

I understand it is my responsibility to enjoy a safe and healthy experience and that SROP cannot eliminate risks I may be exposed to while engaged in the Activity. This includes, but is not limited to, exposure to Covid-19 related illnesses and deaths, which is an inherent risk of the Activity. I will comply with all health and safety laws and requirements related to my participation in the Activity. I authorize a licensed physician or other medical care provider to carry out any emergency medical care for me which may be necessary and agree to be fully responsible for any costs associated with such care or transport to such care.

I acknowledge and assume all additional risks and dangers that may result in property damage, physical injury and/or death, which may be above and beyond the inherent dangers and risks of the Activity, including, but not limited to my participation in events held at Hoyt Park before or after the Activity.

By participating in the Activity, I grant SROP the right of publicity to own and use any image collected of me while participating in the Activity.

In consideration for allowing me to participate in the Activity, I, for myself, my executors, administrators and assignees, release and discharge SROP, the City of San Diego, the City of Poway, the City of Escondido, the County of San Diego, USA T&F, and all sponsors, associates, volunteers and members of SROP (“Released Parties”) for all claims of damages (direct or consequential), demands and any actions arising out of or related to my participation in the Activity. I agree to the greatest extent permitted by law, to waive any and all claims and agree to hold harmless, release, indemnify and not sue or make any claims to Released Parties for any injury, loss or other damages.
